Rule 36, Chapter II, Part VI of the Bar Council of India Rules, framed under Section 49(1)(c) of the Advocates Act, 1961, provides that an advocate shall not solicit work or advertise, either directly or indirectly, whether by circulars, advertisements, touts, personal communication, interviews not warranted by personal relations, furnishing or inspiring newspaper comments, or producing his photographs to be published in connection with cases in which he has been engaged or concerned.
The proviso to Rule 36 (Bar Council of India resolution of 2008) permits an advocate to furnish information on a website in the prescribed manner. This website exists only to describe the nature of the practice of Adv. Saurav Deep. It is not an advertisement, a circular, or a solicitation of work. Access is allowed only after you agree that you have come here of your own accord, and that visiting this website is not solicitation by the advocate.
